vidence, as well as on the creativity of your visual component. 50 ESA points

1. Typed Thesis Statement: create a well written thesis that identifies how your symbol
reveals Golding's message about human nature. This will be submitted to schoology prior to
presentation day.
a. Also include a typed explanation of your symbolic representation. This means you
will explain the decisions behind how and why you created the visual piece that
represents your thesis.
b. Include all three pieces of evidence that demonstrate how the meaning of the
symbol has shifted throughout the novel. Highlight key words from each piece of
evidence & be prepared to explain how these key words reveal the symbol's
meaning. You will not need to write any analysis but I would recommend you have
talking points on index cards to guide your explanation.
2. Visual, Symbolic Representation: choose one way to visually represent the message about
human nature that is stated in your thesis. Please be as creative as possible! You may
