As we've noted, there are patterns to Fitzgerald's approach to writing Gatsby. So, when we detect a break from an established pattern, it is important to think about what Fitzgerald has done and why we think he may have made that change. On this page,
we are introduced to Gatsby, but the way he is introduced is much different from how Tom (8-9), Daisy and Jordan (10-11),
George (27-28), and Myrtle (28-29) are introduced. How is it different? Why do you think Fitzgerald made that change?
