Dear Catherine,

I desired to reach home early, and I know that my delay would have you worried, but something terrible happened to our ship on our way back. On June 20, 1807, when our ship was returning home, our ship was inspected by British Royal Navy, and they claimed many of us to be their crew members who deserted their ships. With much pain I write to inform you that I, too, have been forcefully added to the British Navy. But our government is now suppose to take actions against it. Please, do not get worry after reading this, I will be back soon. Take care of yourself and the kids. With love, Andrew.
