However, the narrator begins the story by giving many details and he says "he has many pets" and he also says "he never mistreat any of his pets" so people can take a picture of what's going to happen then. So the reader keeps reading in order to know the mystery about "Pluto". After knowing that the narrator has "alcohol problems" we come to the conclusion that something bad is going to happen to the cat.
