In 1933 British journalist and writer vera Brittain (1893-1970) published Testament of Youth, A volume of memoirs that detected her coming of age and maturation during the years 1900 – 1925. The following passage is an excerpt from Britain’s memoir in which she reflects on her early educational experiences. Read the passage carefully.
