As noted in the fourth paragraph of "Greif Along the Reef", "Over the last 10 years, 25 percent of the world's corals have disappeared due to climate change, disease, pollution, commercial harvesting." As I said before, coral has been on a decline due to either natural or human cause. As stated in the text " Today, 75 percent of all reefs are threatened by a combination of local and global threats. Hurricanes, boat groundings, and dragging anchors can all kill coral."
