Hall, am I comparing you to a summer day?

You are more charming and more temperate:

Rough winds are tossing May's darling buds,

And the summer lease has a date that is too short:

The eye of heaven shines so hot at some point,

And his golden skin is always dimmy;

And any fair declines from fair occasionally,

Untrimm'd by accident or nature's shifting course;

For thy everlasting summer shall not decay,

Nor lose control of the equal thou owest;

Nor can Death brag that you wander in its shadow,

When you rise in the everlasting lines of time:

As long as men are able to breathe, or they can see through their eyes,

It lasts too long, and it brings life to you.
