Pretty ugly is an oxymoron because if you're pretty you look good, and when you're ugly you're quite the opposite.

Original copies is an oxymoron because if something is original you didn't copy it, and by asking for original copies what you're saying conflicts itself

dramatic irony occurs when the reader/audience knows more about a character's situation than the character does. the one main effect is that it gives the reader a sense of superiority, or detached superiority. the reader not only seemingly discovers what is revealed, but feels superior for doing so.

i would say that these are the two thesis statements best for a literary analysis essay on recurring themes in shakespeare's romeo and juliet:

1.  in romeo and juliet, shakespeare demonstrates that love comes in a variety of forms, be it romantic, familial, or between friends.

2.  shakespeare explores the struggle for identity through the character of juliet in his play romeo and juliet.
