Hello! I am Dr. Michael Hoon, Principal of Hollingworth Elementary School. I am extremely proud to be a part of this amazing school community!

I got into the field of education to make a difference. I believe that I get this great opportunity each and every day while at Hollingworth School. My job, ultimately, is to help every child find success and it is through the collaborative efforts of parents, staff and students that we get to make this happen! Thanks for your support as we find success for EVERY child!

A little about me...

I hold the following degrees:

Bachelor's Degree in Child Development from Cal State, Los Angeles

Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Cal State, Los Angeles

Doctorate Degree in Education from the University of Southern California (Fight on!)

My educational career:

Teacher of Pre K, K, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grades for eight years in Monrovia USD

Assistant Principal for one year in Monrovia USD

Principal for ten years in Monrovia USD

Principal for nine years at Hollingworth Elementary School! Home of the HAWKS!!
