"I feel somehow enormously disappointed. I had expected--I don't know what I had expected, but not this." These were the last words of Mr. Bedford in Chapter Six of The First Men in the Moon. After finally having landed on the moon, his excitement is extinguished as he realizes he can’t see anything through the glass of the sphere. Write about a time when you were looking forward to going somewhere, but felt disappointed with what you saw and experienced when you arrived.
