How to use apostrophes

You use them to kind of combine words.

For example, instead of saying, "They have stolen my dog", you can say, "They've stolen my dog".

Have not - Haven't

Is not - Isn't

I will - I'll

You can also use them to show that someone owns something.

For example, "Sarah's cat". This shows that she owns a cat.
