What occupation does the mother want for Lily?

Lily mentions that she hopes that she gets the assignment of Birthmother, to which her mother scolds her and calls the job not honorable. Lily decides that she would rather have the job of Nurturer, like her father. Jonas remarks that Lily might get the job of Speaker because she is very loud.
