On the morning of June 29th, 2008, an extremely act was
committed in Greenwich Village, New York. Edward Billingsly, a very
old
man, who was a deacon in his church and taught bible-study classes on Sunday
afternoons, was found in critical condition on the kitchen floor of his apartment. He had
been stabbed multiple times in the chest and his face was
almost beyond
recognition. Though he was still alive, he had suffered major blood loss and brain
damage, and was unable to
what had happened to him to paramedics
before slipping into a deep coma. The incident shocked the other residents of the
neighborhood, as acts of such extreme violence had never been
in that
area
