After reading S. E. Hinton’s novel The Outsiders, identify two characters who defy, reveal, or demonstrate that they are not like the stereotype or characterization that is established for them at the beginning of the novel. You must first show evidence of how each character is stereotyped or labeled at the beginning of the novel and then, provide evidence of how he/she defies the stereotype or changes/transforms as the story progresses.
