Why are "light" and "knowledge always compared with each other in poetry? What similarities and attributes do they share?

light is another word for like brief which is like not heavy so and I'm pretty sure they usually us bright but still it's because it means like... oh she so bright when they say that they mean smart which is something you are if you have knowledge
