If you looked back at how things used to be, you would be mind blown. There are many ways that the 1800s have changed in 220 years. The 1800s are different from nowadays. Everything has changed and it is extremely amazing.

I love electronics and the internet, and that is the largest change from the past. Back then electronics didn't exist yet. The very first electronic come out in 1835, and it still wasn't as advanced as the ones we have today. That was a long time ago. But it is a great change. Without phones, people wouldn't be able to talk to each other from separate places, because people call others or text them, but instead you would have to be face to face with each other. You wouldn't even be able to watch television to see the news, without the news you would have no idea about the new rules on the coronavirus. Then how would you know what the weather is going to be like? You wouldn't and could be wearing something inappropriate for the season.

Another one of my favorite changes that have happened is our way of transportation. Back then they would have used wagons, and horses to get by. A horse can be fast but back than they usually only made them walk places, and they would be very slow. Now we have these amazingly fast cars, that can get you to where you need to go quickly. It could have taken you more than twice as long to get somewhere by wagon or by horse. But with the new technology, you can get somewhere within hours. Also by wagon, you may be able to sit one or two people in each. But cars you can sit five in a regular day car.

Those were just some of the many ways that life has changed since the 1800s. But that isn't all that has changed. So much more that wasn't around back then. But I think that from all the time that has passed the new changes have changed positively and improved our day-to-day life and made it easier.
