The Spartans were one of the most influential civilisations and we see their influence to this day. For example, the Spartans would often eat ‘melas zomos’ or black broth that has the key ingredient of pig blood. Many people to this day still eat dishes that include pig blood. Sparta is also known for its intense warfare prowess. Which in turn made Greece as a whole much stronger. Many of their teachings and ideals are still popular ones to this day such as, “ live with honour” and “never give up”.
