Can someone read my essay and tell me what i need to fix? 100 pts Have you ever gone out and seen someone in public and thought, “Wow. They look weird.” or, “Wow they look so poor.”? These are examples of prejudice. Prejudice is an opinion that is not based on experience or real life. Prejudice is a behavior that most people develop over time as they are surrounded by more people of a different race, religion, and skin color. Some people think that prejudice comes as a learned instinct. Prejudice is a behavior that is not learned, but it is a behavior that is learned as people get more involved with others.

Prejudice is a natural behavior because it’s someone’s first thought about another person. In the book To Kill a Mocking Bird, Maybelle and Tom go on trial because Tom was accused of raping Maybelle, even though evidence showed that it was her father that was hurting her. Tom’s skin color was negro. People in Maycomb didn’t like people who were negro because they looked different. Tom had no choice but to go on trial because if he ran away, it would look like he did it. This was not fair to the negro colored people because most of them were found guilty of a crime that they didn’t do, and were sent to prison. In the present day, people think of others with a different religion, way of dress, and skin color by their first thought. For example, most Americans fight for BLM, and most don’t think that people of the negro skin color deserve American rights.

Prejudice is a natural behavior because it is not a family thought, it is a personal thought. In TKAM, the Finches have a negro maid in their house, and they each individually treat her as one of the family. That is their personal decision to treat her like that, even though the other people in Maycomb think it’s absurd to have her treated fairly. In the present day, many families have different thoughts on people with other religions/skin color other than American. For example, many people have different thoughts about a person that could be different from their family. If there is someone that you are friends with and they come over to your house, your family might not like them because they dress differently. They might be rude to your friend, and your friend will get upset.

Prejudice is a natural behavior. Some might say it is a learned behavior. While that can be somewhat true, it’s more on the thought of the individual and not the person or people who are trying to show them how to think or to act when seeing someone that looks different. Instead of looking at someone on the outside, start looking at them from the inside to know who they are.

"i don't know," he said. "did you leave it in your mouth? it's the only place i can think of that's big enough." keyn laughed; something got stuck in his throat half way, and he coughed for breath. "i can see you're good to go,” tablin observed as keyn struggled to clear his throat. “go get your horse yourself before i take the job and leave you to rot in the flowing barrel."
