Ethos - I believe this excerpt pertains to the activists writing about the world leaders and their movement/ actions towards gender equality, what they've essentially done so far. It would seem that the world leaders' actions towards this subject is slow and slow seems unacceptable to these activists.

Pathos - As read from the activists, there is a sense of frustration in their speech. Slow action of the world leaders on gender equality fuel this frustration as the activists claim, they've "promised" to quicken it's process. Also, based on only the line "this is unacceptable", it exhibits the passion had on the subject.
