Can someone i really need !

in this discussion, you'll reflect on the module reading and analyze key moments from the text alongside your classmates. your goal in this discussion is to practice identifying main ideas in a text and making inferences supported by textual evidence.

let's examine karen's discussion post.

i noticed that, in khianna’s response, she believes that douglass’s “hope” was the possibility of a better life. khianna points out that, not having the ties to home that a normal child would, douglass is excited to see whether he can find a better world in baltimore. like khianna, i also picked up on the sadness that is a part of douglass’s “hope.” even though he is excited to move to baltimore, he tells himself that, no matter what, it won’t be any worse than what he already has.

post your responses to the following questions. make sure you support your ideas with textual evidence.

as douglass reflects on his life, what does he think is the significance of the move to baltimore?
what is his hope, and why does he have the hope?

Read the excerpt from hemingway’s a farewell to arms. we parked the cars beyond the brickyard. the ovens and some deep holes had been equipped as dressing stations. there were three doctors that i knew. i talked with the major and learned that when it should start and our cars should be loaded we would drive them back along the screened road and up to the main road along the ridge where there would be a post and other cars to clear them. which best describes hemingway’s style of writing in the excerpt? straightforward and simple, while still relating a lot of information to the reader long-winded and offering far too much information to the reader overly complicated, making it difficult to interpret and understand the text effortless and uncomplicated, with little meaning for the reader to interpret
