In The Outsiders, the teenagers in the story face realistic problems. Many of these problems face today’s teenagers as well. Brainstorm a list of problems (up to 5) that the characters deal with in The Outsiders. Then, select one problem to write about and write a paragraph explaining how that problem is similar to something teeangers today face. You do not have to do research, just write down what you know.
