Biography of Nikola Tesla
Without him we might still be in the dark age. Nikola Tesla is most known for being the first to control AC (Alternating Current). Although did you know that he worked with Thomas Edison and invented many inventions. Nikola Tesla was born in Smiljan, Croatia on July 10, 1856,January 8, 1943 he died because of coronary thrombosis. His father was an Orthodox priest; his mother was not schooled but very intelligent. He did not have many friends because he thought it would be a distraction. Even though Nikola Tesla died alone and poor he achieved many things while he lived.(Biography. com)
Nikola Tesla achieved many things from Radio signals to making the lights that Thomas Edison made better. If not for Tesla we might not have X-rays that help us see whether a bone broke or fractured. If not for AC we might still have the very dangerous current called DC (Direct Current). Nikola Tesla helped us even though very ahead of his time he lit the world. (History. com)
Becoming a genius was not easy Nikola Tesla faced many challenges but boldly overcame them. He persevered through the darkest times for him. In 1895, his Manhattan laboratory was burnt by a fire, which destroyed his notes and prototypes. This made him restart all of his work. At Madison Square Garden in 1898, he demonstrated wireless control of a small toy boat, but many people thought this was fake. After this, no one trusted him so Nikola Tesla had to build back trust from the start. In 1909, Marconi received the Nobel Prize for making the radio. In 1915, Tesla unsuccessfully sued Marconi. Being an inventor needs inspiration. Nikola Tesla did not have many though. His mother invented home machinery. This made young Nikola also want to try to make inventions like his mother. Some people say that he wanted to study electricity because while young Nikola was petting his cat a spark of static electricity went from his cat to him. Nikola Tesla is a very successful inventor but he started small. In 1882, Nikola even though he was very small he helped some firefighters figure out what was wrong with their hose. The firemen thanked Nikola and his town thought of him as their hero. Nikola made AC. He showed everyone that it was safe by powering the Chicago world fair that made many people like Westinghouse to fund him to make more AC generators.(History. com)
Nikola Tesla had a very interesting life; he never had a wife because he believed it would be a distraction for his work. He completed a 4-year program in only 3 years! He was first in all of his classes in addition to that he got the highest grades possible in all of his classes.
