Item 1 Read the passage:

excerpt from “More than Luck”

My friend Eric has the Midas touch. He comes up with great ideas to make money even though he is only a kid. And they work! Last year, he decided to try selling lemonade and cookies at the local soccer fields where leagues are held every Saturday. The first sale was a huge success, so he goes back every Saturday and makes a nice profit. While selling lemonade, Eric noticed there was a lot of trash left behind after soccer matches. So, he started picking up garbage after the matches were over. As luck would have it, Eric collects so many cans and bottles for recycling that he makes even more money. I wonder what he will come up with next!
