Specters of the night, Come in the shadows to creep
Across my walls, hovering
In empty black air;
How they terrorize my nights;
Expanding, contracting spooks…
Shape shifting ghouls who,
Contort as if they appear,
In wavy fun house mirrors.
I must put a stop,
To their vile and twisted dance;
I must avoid watching the news!
