Why are insults dependent on time and culture? Investigate common insults for a culture other than your own. What did you learn?

In my opinion, Insults are dependent on time and culture because they can come from the way someone dresses, acts, or actions. For example, In most parts in Asia it's common to bow down to someone when you're saying "Hello" or  "Sorry" and "Goodbye" It's considered rude if you don't bow down.
