Read "It's This Way" and answer the question. It's This Way

by Nazim Hikmet

1 I stand in the advancing light,

my hands hungry, the world beautiful.

2 My eyes can't get enough of the trees—

they're so hopeful, so green.

3 A sunny road runs through the mulberries,

I'm at the window of the prison infirmary.

4 I can't smell the medicines—

carnations must be blooming nearby.

5 It's this way:

being captured is beside the point,

the point is not to surrender.

How does the last stanza differ from the previous stanzas in this poem?

A.) Rather than offering opinions, it demonstrates restraint.
B.) It employs elaborate and complex diction.
C.) Rather than figurative imagery, it relies on literal interpretation.
D.) It departs from a motif of loyalty and betrayal.
