I have this one person and I only have one class every week with them but I would really like to be their friend. And I see them in the halls a lot and I’m not sure how to become friends with them. I know one of their main interests from a friend but I don’t wanna bring it up since it would sound pretty creepy but it anyone has any advice instead of “ be nice and talk to them” : ) that would be really great I appreciate all answers .

Have you tried asking a mutual friend to introduce you? Maybe plan something with that mutual friend and invite that person you want to talk to along with you guys. If not maybe try approaching them with a joke or simple question like "hey sorry do you know what's the date today?" or maybe even compliment them on something!
