Action verbs

Action verbs describe specific kinds of movements or motion. E.g: "Simon walks fast, as he is late." Walks is our action verb, what he's doing.

Linking verbs

Linking verbs connect a subject and further information. In the example I'll give, the subject is underlined, the verb bold and the further information is in italic. E.g: Claire is tall. Claire is our subject, "is" is our verb, the verb to-be and "tall" is the further information.

Helping verbs

Helping verbs are used to show a tense or form a question. E.g: I am running.

Am is the verb to-be, and helps show that I am presently running, the verb "run". Two verbs in one sentence.
