Keep Your Eye on the Character

6. Choose an event, excerpt, or chapter that is part of the falling action of your selected novel or short story. Summarize the event or chapter in 2-4 sentences.
So, in the long run everybody heard about what occurred to Auggie in the woods at camp. Now rumors are spreading that Amos, Henry, and Miles protected Auggie. The fight in the woods is a main tipping point, however kids' attitudes toward Auggie had already began to thaw in the months leading up to camp.

7. How does the event, excerpt, or chapter you have selected resolve or begin to resolve the conflict?

This example alieves the conflict as it eventually indicates kids sticking up for Auggie and him in the end making pals.

8. How does the event, excerpt, or chapter you have selected show how the protagonist has changed or is changing?
It shows that he's changing because at the start Auggie was a completely shy child and we can see him reach out and make pals where at the start of the book he had no buddies and was very self-conscious.
