1. Write a paragraph. This is a personal opinion. How do changes around us reveal who you are?

No one changes. We were born into a family we didn’t choose and it filled us with all sorts of desires and ideas. Then we went to kindergarten and school, again not of our choosing, which filled us with more desires and ideas. The environment around us, the media, the people, have all baked a variety of desires, lacks, deficiencies into us, like a coil that has been wound and our adult life are simply spent unwinding that coil. It sounds harsh but until you realize it, this is your life. Look at yourself for what you are: a desire to receive pleasure. A desire will pop in you and your brain will immediately set out to find ways to fulfill it. Sometimes several desires will compete for your attention and your brain will sort them out and take care of the strongest one. You can be sure that neither of those desires are yours. In other words, all the qualities you have are used by you to fill yourself with pleasure. I know it doesn’t sound glamorous but everything in nature is this way. The only difference is that we have a tiny bit of free choice. We have just enough energy in us to choose the environment that will affect us the most. If I want to be a great football player, I’ll plant myself in a football team and everyone will talk, think, and do football around me and I will absorb their desire for football and grow my own desire.

The only way to really change is to seek the force that has created me, this desire to receive pleasure. It’s not some elderly deity in the sky. It’s a force of nature. Like gravity, or electricity. And it can be found using the same laws: the law of equivalence of form. So if I want to truly change, I need to invite the force that has made this desire to receive. A force that is all giving. Like the plus to my minus. If I begin to make efforts to be like it, it will work on me and give me a new intention on top of my desire to receive pleasure. It will stop being an egoistic desire and become a desire to bestow. That’s what Kabbalists who’ve attained it tell us. So the bottom line is people don’t change, Their egoistic desire for pleasure simply grows and then wanes like a bell curve.

Changes around us cause us to act differently. Some people don't act well around changes and others do. I personally don't act well around changes. Different causes and affects can make people act different. For example moving is a change and some people will act happy and positive where as others would be sad or angry.
