The Gautrain is Africa's first world-class,
modern rapid rail service. This 80-kilome-
tre railway system links Johannesburg,
GAUTRAIN
Pretoria, Ekurhuleni and OR Tambo Inter-
national Airport. It was built to relieve the
traffic congestion between Johannesburg
and Pretoria offers travellers an alternative
to road transport.
Gautrain Regulations
In order to ensure the safety of passen-
gers and keeping the train clean and neat,
passengers must adhere to the rules and
regulations when using the Gautrain. Vio-
lating these rules and regulations could re-
sult in arrest or fines.
