Warning, it's long

my friend wants to know if her story idea is grammarly correct before she starts to co-write with someone

prologue:
a long time ago, humanity was granted one wish. all the leaders, and i mean all, even if they were at war with one another, met to discuss this wish. they thought long and hard about this decision, but they finally came to a conclusion.
did they use this wish wisely? no.
did they ask why this so called celestial was granting them one wish? no.
did they even stop and think about what a stupid decision they were making? no.
of course not.
they wished, and i quote, for “humans to have wings.”

you know how wish granting goes though… there’s always a loophole…

chapter 1(part of it)
imagine being a child that could touch the sky. imagine being a child that was allowed to fly. imagine being a child that could fly, growing up with all these other children that were allowed to fly.
now, stop imagining. put yourself in deformed
imagine being a child that wished to touch the sky. imagine being a child that wasn't allowed to fly. imagine being a child that couldn't fly, growing up with all these other children that were allowed to fly.
sounds pretty bad, right? it is.
the ones flying around in the sky are the winglings. they're the ones flying around, out in the open air, looking out into the distance at everything.
the ones walking on the ground are the wingless. they're the ones walking around, out on the empty streets, looking at the rubble everywhere.

the winglings, well, they don't even touch the ground anymore. the wingless, well, they can't even touch the sky.

my name, is vesta/ela/avani(she can't decide on a name), and i'm deformed. not just deformed, i'm one of the wingless.
