I'm writing a sentence that's supposed to show how fast technology had advanced, as well as to partially exaggerate it, and i can't seem to correctly "word" this. can you me out?

sentence:
however, recently, technology has been advancing pretty quickly, advancing from windows 1.0, where you had to navigate using arrow keys, to interactive virtual reality, where you could literally pick up and interact with nonexistent objects.

any would be appreciated, even if you say my sentence makes complete sense and i just wasted 10 points on this.
