   Climate change,  a topic that has been talked about and argued over for years, is now more than ever-demanding our attention. Fundraisers and parties are thrown to stop the mass production of CO2 and cool the world back down to save the penguins and the polar bears, but is global warming even real? Yes. Global warming is very real and very seriously affecting the world.    The rise of CO2 is a direct result of human activity and economy. “In Mar. 1958 US climate scientist Charles Keeling began measuring atmospheric CO2 at the Mauna Loa observatory in Hawaii for use in climate modeling. [128] Using these measurements, Keeling became the first scientist to confirm that atmospheric CO2 levels were rising rather than being fully absorbed by forests and oceans (carbon sinks). [129] When Keeling began his measurements, atmospheric CO2 levels stood at 315 parts per million (ppm). (10)Though there were theories about climate change being real it was never really confirmed, so when Charles Keeling started his atmospheric CO2 measurements, he confirmed that CO2 levels were rising and even though some of them were getting absorbed by the oceans and the forests.
