How does shelley create her gothic atmosphere in frankistain?

Shelley might resort to several techniques to create a Gothic atmosphere. Firstly, it might be said that she uses the 1st person to let "the monster" retell its story. The book is also full of detailed descriptions such as Frankenstein lab, characters and even the voyage through freezing water.
