The setting will affect the characters in the way they think or feel and this will change the plot

In my opinion, the setting affects the plot and characters in drama quite a lot. So, the setting influences the plot, which means the story's events. Furthermore, the character's background influences how the character relates to his/her behaviour in the setting.
