prompt: think about a favorite story you have enjoyed. it could be a story you read as a child or a favorite film you have enjoyed. consider how the story ended. rewrite a new ending to change the ending in a fundamental way.

Romeo and Juliet- I'm only using this because I just read it.

The ending of "Romeo and Juliet" was nothing but ironic. When Romeo shows up to Juliet's tomb, Paris is there paying his respects to the woman he was suppose to marry. Instead of Romeo and Paris fighting resulting in Paris's death, Romeo could've waited a little longer to go to the tomb, because the Friar was on his way to wait for Juliet to wake up. If he waited, He would've known she wasn't really dead, and they could have actually ended up together and forever in love like they wanted. 

Allusion and illusion. an allusion is an indirect reference, whereas an illusion is something that is unreal or incorrect. each of the nouns has a related verb form: allude “to refer indirectly to,” and illude (not a very common word), which may mean “to delude or deceive” or “to subject to an illusion.”
