In the classic novel the great gatsby, jay gatsby re-creates himself as a rich aristocrat to impress his long-lost love, daisy. his plan seems to be working, until the truth about his ordinary past is exposed. all of his plans fall apart.

The resolution is all his plans fall apart, since that is the part that resolves the book. I am 100% sure.
