How does the anonymous narrator’s first-person point of view in jonathan swift's “a modest proposal” affect its reading?

Since the narrator's is anonymous, it gives the reader a chance to place themselves in the situation. This helps the reader better understand whats going on and helps form opinions. Also, as it reveals the callus nature of the speaker, it cause a sense of indignation, which makes them an active participant in the story. This is a difficult tale for most readers to comprehend to even fathom that one would make such a gruesome proposal, much less define it in such vivid detail. All of this alarming nature of Swift's story, further pulls the reader into his realm and forces them to make a choice.
