Ocean exploration is about making discoveries, searching for things that are unusual and unexpected. As the first step in the scientific process, the rigorous observations and documentation of biological, chemical, physical, geological, and archaeological aspects of the ocean gained from exploration set the stage for future research and decision-making. Through ocean exploration, we collect data and information needed to address both current and emerging science and management needs. Exploration helps to ensure that ocean resources are not just managed, but managed in a sustainable way, so those resources are around for future generations to enjoy. If mankind stops exploring space, our world and perspective would only be limited to Earth, and it will be so tiny compared to the vastness of the universe. Space is full of mysteries, and Earth is but a small dot in the cosmos. Human's natural curiosity has motivated people to explore the mysteries of the unknown. If people stop at the origin and do not continue into the darkness of paranormal and transcendency, then we will never become more advanced and exceed our current lives. Some people think space exploration is a waste of resources, and believe that even if there was a planet suited for mankind to live on, it will be thousands if not millions of lightyears away. For modern technology, it will most definitely be hard to achieve that kind of power. But I surmise that in the near future, it will be something possible. Did ancient people ever imagine that humanity has invented machines that fly on the sky? Did they ever dream of going up and beyond our small world? No one can ever be sure of what could happen in the future, but for those who dare to climb, for those who perceive humans and their future for what it truly is, nothing will ever limit them to attain the impracticable.
