stirrings are another word for puberty, and the comunity dosent want people to go through puberty. Jonas’s parents are first aware that he is entering puberty when he has a dream of a sexual nature.  The dream shows that Jonas is beginning to have feelings for the opposite sex.  This is when the Stirrings pills start for each child. the community picks each childs job, spouse, the ammount of children they have, ect. if kids go through puberty, they lose control of every ones life because they kids want to go to each other, an dno who they get paired with

1. Stirrings is a euphemism for puberty. The community carefully monitors children who are about to enter puberty to prevent it from happening. At the first signs of puberty, children are given a medication that prevents the Stirrings.

2. The author wanted the to be stunned because Jonas was skipped.

i would say c, admiration because the narrator related to the main character and she, too, once felt ashamed about her culture and wished to be an american girl to impress a boy. she felt admiration because her mom prepared her favorite foods when her and robert's (the guy she liked) family all came together and had a family reunion.
