California has experienced some terrible wildfires. Hot, dry air fans forest fires and makes them difficult to control. The blazes spread quickly and can endanger people and property. Thousands of homes get destroyed. Officials have been working on ways to prevent future wildfires. In 2003, the Healthy Forests Restoration Act was passed. It might help. Some believe that it will help the forests be better managed. It allows lumber companies to cut down more trees. Do It!
