It's All in Your Mind Why does the author emphasize research
that indicates physical benefits of
mindfulness?
to call for additional research on the impact
of mindfulness on health
Philosophers have often compared the
human mind to the sky, and the thoughts
that pass through the mind to clouds.
Sometimes, there are so many thoughts
clamoring for attention in our minds that
they can seem less like clouds passing by
and more like a storm rolling through.
When our minds are full of swirling
thoughts, we often experience stress. This
stress can affect our sleep, our physical
health, and even our overall happiness. A
practice called mindfulness has been
proven to help ease the stress that builds
to convince the reader that there are proven
benefits to the practice of mindfulness
to minimize discussion of the mental benefits
of mindfulness
to show that medical doctors should
recommend mindfulness practices
