Alternative medicine is a way of healing by using natural products. It is a common healing method practised today as practitioners have found that drugs can result in unpleasant side effects. It is seen in the world of homoeopathy, aromatherapy, acupuncture and reflexology. During the treatment, herbs and plants are used. Besides, the techniques and therapies leave little or no side effects at all.
In alternative medicine, the whole person is treated. The practitioner will perform tests not just in the part that is ailing but also helps the patient from within.
A practitioner of alternative medicine believes that healing takes time. The practitioner believes that aggressive therapies can harm the patient. Hence, the patient is given gentle, effective and precise remedies to allow the body to stimulate its natural healing
