Patunay rito ang napakaraming tulang nalikha noong unang
panahon para sa iba't ibang pangyayari sa buhay.
Ginamit ng mga sinaunang Pilipino ang tulałupang ma-
ghatid ng aral. Ginamit din nila ang tula upang ipasa ang mga
sinaunang kaalaman.
Hindi lamang basta isinusulat ang mga tulang ito. Mada-
las ay binibigkas o kaya inaawit ito sa mga pagtitipon.
Maaaring tuwing kapistahan, kasalan, o kaya sa pag-alaala sa
namatay binibigkas din ang mga tula.
Sa malakas na pagbigkas o pag-awit ng mga tula rin nai-
papasa ng matatanda ang kanilang paniniwala at kultura sa
mga nakababata.
Ang mga tula at awitin na binibigkas natin hanggang sa
kasalukuyan ay patunay kung ano ang ating pinagmulan, kau-
galian, at mga paniniwala.
Ito ay buhay na alala ng ating sariling kultura na dapat
nating pagyamanin at ikarangal.
