Choose one myth you've studied this year. Compare and contrast it with a myth, legend, or folktale from another culture besides Greek and Roman. You can use any culture in the world. Here are some suggestions to get you started. The myth of "Prometheus" is similar to the myth of Mātariśvan in India.
The myths of "Arachne" and "Prometheus" can be compared to Native American stories of Grandmother Spider.
"Deucalion & Pyrrha" is similar to the "Epic of Gilgamesh" from Sumeria or the story of Noah's Ark from the Bible.
Once you choose your two stories, a good way to begin is to write down five similarities and five differences between the two. I am trying to compare it with Noahs arc.

The greatest gift the sumerians gave the world was the invention of writing. the sumerians were wealthy people. they needed some way to keep track of what they owned. they began drawing pictures. they used a reed as a pen. they drew on soft pieces of clay. the soft clay was then dried in the sun. the tablet became a permanent record. later, the sumerian drawings changed into wedge-shaped symbols. this kind of writing is called cuneiform. by putting symbols together, the sumerians could write entire sentences.
