What might be an interesting way to present this passage to a group to make it clearer and more meaningful? Travel is expressive
Any teenagers dreaming of their first car will tell you that the wheels someone drives say something about that person. The color, the make and model, the year, the custom paint job, the bumper stickers plastered all over the back?all these things communicate information to other people. Automakers know that, too, which is why they invest millions into ad campaigns that convince you that certain cars fit a certain image. What you drive might shout to the world that you are free-spirited, indy, creative, or filthy rich. It might also say you are practical, intelligent, and conservative. It might show everyone how important?or unimportant?your car is to you.
