In The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street, Steve Brand is the main person to control the mob and act calmly in their situation. In addition to being open minded, listening to Tommy in the beginning of the story and continuing to listen to others' claims, he has a calming influence that puts everyone at bay for most of the story. Another character that is known for being a strong leader and handling situations efficiently is Tōshirō Hitsugaya. Tōshirō Hitsugaya is a fictional character from Tite Kubo's manga and anime series Bleach. Hitsugaya is a captain of the Gotei 13's 10th division or squad, a group of Soul Reapers that oversee the flow of souls and protect Soul Society, an afterlife realm, in the anime. Toshiro has a very mature and headstrong personality. He is a leader who believes in hard work and handling situations properly and efficiently, much like Steve Brand. This leads me to believe that they have similar character dynamics.

The second character I will be discussing is Charlie. Charlie is a very paranoid character who is very quick to point fingers and accuse people of being the imposter among them. The anime character that reminds me of Charlie is Seiya Ryuuguuin, from the anime Cautious Hero. Seiya’s entire character dynamic is that he is cautious and paranoid about every situation. Like Charlie, he is quick to look at a situation and becomes paranoid of it, most of the time over preparing and thinking of every possible outcome. Charlie, everytime something peculiar happened in the neighborhood, immediately came to the worst conclusion, that they were the imposter. As a result, seeing that paranoid personality immediately reminded me of the main heroine of Cautious Hero, Seiya Ryuuguuin.
