The challenges generally faced by first-year students at universities or colleges are the change in the environment, lifestyle, homesickness, transition to college life, adulthood, self-independence, etc. Such elements of growing up require a change in their normal life and trying to adapt to the huge burden of managing studies and finances, organizing one's life, and being independent. The need to manage funds, getting a job and saving, planning meals, and other expenses, all consume a student in their first year of university life. And it's these changes and responsibilities that would pose the biggest challenge in a student.
