How do you write this in the simple present and present continuous tenses: As I (walk) along the shore, I (gaze) at the sea. Why is it that we can't have two continuous tenses such as: As I am walking along the shore, I am gazing at the sea? What is the reasoning behind for writing: As I am walking along the shore, I gaze at the sea?​
